Suggested workarounds to fix loading issues in Plan Reviews

There may be some instances in which the files on your plan review will not load or display a 'These files are still being processed and will be available shortly' message like the below image.

While this is a rare occurrence, it can impact your plan review process and cause delays. In this article, we're going to explain what can cause this issue and how to fix it.

Typically, a “These files are still being processed and will be available shortly” message appears due to one of the following reasons:


1. Large Files

Some larger and more complex projects require the upload of plan files that contain hundreds of pages. In these cases, it may take up to 30 minutes for the files to be fully processed and displayed in the plan viewer.

If the message persists after 30 minutes, try optimizing the PDF or splitting it into smaller parts. If that doesn't work, please reach out to our Support Team for additional assistance


2. Corrupted or Faulty Files

If a PDF file is corrupted or contains faulty pages, the system will not be able to process it or display it in the plan viewer.

To resolve this, export another copy of the file using a different PDF standard or version, ensuring that no pages are corrupted.


3. Password-Protected or Encrypted Files

Password-protected and encrypted files cannot be read by the system and will fail to load in the plan viewer.

To ensure proper processing, export a copy of the file without encryption or password protection.


4. Compatibility Issues

Certain PDF versions or standards can sometimes cause compatibility issues with file viewers.

If your file is not loading properly, check which PDF version it uses. Ideally, files should be saved in a standard PDF or PDF/A format.
