GovWell offers a feature to add digital stamps to documents in plan reviews to easily mark up and provide feedback on documents.
You can create various custom stamps, such as your jurisdiction's logo, your signature, or any other information you'd like to mark in your plan reviews. Let's create our first stamp!
Access your Stamp Templates by pressing 'Settings' -> 'Stamp Templates'
The Stamp Templates page displays a list of all the stamp templates you created. These templates are only visible to you. To create a new one, press the '+ Create Stamp Template' button
This is the Stamp Template creator page - let's explore the features at your disposal!
Stamp Name - identify your stamp by giving it a name here
Show Border - toggle option to determine if your created stamp will have a rectangular border around it or not.
Width and Height - set the width and height of the canvas your stamp is in. Specially useful if you toggle 'Show Borders' on, as the width and height determine the shape of the borders
The Canvas - this is where we'll create the stamp!
✏️ Creating the Stamp
To create your stamp, you have three elements you can add to the canvas - Date, Text and Image. To add an element, simply drag it to the canvas
In this example, you can click on the Text element to edit it or remove it
Using images to create a stamp
You can also upload your own stamps to GovWell using the 'Image' element. First, drag it to the canvas and click on it to upload your own image
Keep in mind that transparent images need to be in .png format! If you need help making sure your stamp is transparent please reach out to our Support team
After uploading your image, set the desired width and height, then move your stamp by dragging the image within the canvas to your preferred position. For greater precision when repositioning elements, click and drag them from the top-left corner, which is highlighted with an orange circle.
And your stamp is done! It will be available for use in all your plan reviews.
📐 Using Stamps in Plan Reviews
Now that you have created your stamp, you can use them in your plan reviews. To add a stamp to a document, first press the stamp icon on the top left side of your Plan Review board
Then, click where in the document you want the stamp to be added and select your stamp, the date (in case your stamp has a date) and if you want to stamp in more files/pages
And that's how you create and use your very own stamps using GovWell!
