How to fix log in conflicts and issues

There may be some cases in which your access to GovWell seems to be broken due to the confirmation link that GovWell sent to your email inbox not working or returning a 'This verification link has expired' error message

When this happens, it could be due to the link you're clicking on not being the most recent one. A common occurrence for certain email providers is for the emails of the same nature from the same sender being displayed within the same thread of emails instead of a separate entry.

Let's use Gmail as an example: if you request a log in authorization link more than once, the 'Sign in to GovWell' emails will be arranged in a cascade that should look like this:

This view may not make it immediately obvious which email is the most recent or even where the confirmation link is. To ensure you're looking at the most recent link, look for the two things highlighted below in the email that is furthest down:

First, check which correspondence is the most recent one by looking at the right side for the time they were sent. Only the most recent link will work!

Then, click on the three dots to unveil the 'Sign in to GovWell' link:

And that's it! You should be logged in to your GovWell account now.
