Submitting an application through GovWell β explained here β is easy, and tracking your applications is just as simple! GovWell ensures that all your applications are managed and tracked from start to finish, keeping you up to date with any status changes through your portal and frequent email communications.
π€ What do the statuses in my applications mean?
Each jurisdiction has a predetermined set of statuses for all applications on the platform. These statuses can be configured to meet the specific preferences and needs of each.
GovWell also provides clarity to applicants on the status of their application by color-coding the steps, making it easier to identify where they currently stand:
Blue β Action needed: If your application has a blue status next to it, this means your action is required (e.g., you need to pay a fee, request an inspection, etc.). The blue status typically reflects tasks that require action (such as payments), but it is not usually the general application status.
βYellow β In progress: This status indicates that your application is under review by city staff. We recommend checking your application regularly and updating or uploading any necessary information to ensure staff has everything needed to complete the review. This is the status youβll likely see most often.
βGreen β Complete: This color indicates that your application has been marked as complete, meaning no further action is required. A document, such as a permit, has typically been generated at this stage.
βRed β No further action required: The application has either been archived or expired, meaning no further steps are needed.
