Your first steps in GovWell will likely involve either being directed to your jurisdiction's portal from your location's Public Works website or signing up directly at https://app.govwell.com

When you first sign up for GovWell, you’ll likely see an empty Records page. Your next step is to submit your first application through your jurisdiction’s portal.
To get started, look for the “Places” section in the navigation bar:
In this section, you’ll find a list of all the jurisdictions that GovWell works with. Look for the card representing the jurisdiction you want to apply to - in this case, we’re looking for Pawnee, IN.
Clicking on the Pawnee, IN card will take you to the main portal, where you can view the online services available, such as Building Permits, Contractor Registrations, and more. Click on each section card to find out which applications you can submit within each section
Towards the bottom of the page, you’ll also find key contacts you can reach out to for clarification on permits, requirements, or other questions.
