I made a mistake on my application! Can I update it?

Did you submit your application with an error or typo? Don't worry, it is possible to update your application! There are two ways to update your application: 1) if the reviewer sent it back to you for updates or corrections, or; 2) if you reach out to our Support team.

Applicants cannot directly edit submissions after they are submitted on GovWell. To make changes, they must either respond to a reviewer request sent back for corrections or contact staff to enable the ability to make updates.

1. Responding to a request for updates from the Reviewer

If the reviewer has sent your application back to you for updates or corrections during the "Application Review" step, you can make the necessary changes as directed and resubmit your application. This step ensures accuracy and compliance before the application is approved.

Whenever a reviewer sends the application back to you during the "Application Review" step, you will be notified and provided with instructions on the corrections required. Follow these directions carefully to update your form with the correct information and resubmit it.

2. If your application has just been submitted: Reaching Out to Our Support Team

If your application was not sent back to you for updates or corrections while in the initial review stage and you need to urgently update it before jurisdiction staff begins their review, you can still reach out to our support team for assistance. Our Support team will be happy to help you make any necessary updates to your application. Please see our guide about contacting the GovWell support team to reach out to us! When contacting support, ensure you provide the record number and clearly outline the corrections required. In some cases, if the review already has begun, Support will have to reach out to a jurisdiction admin to get approval on making the change. Once that approval is given, we will process the edits.

3. If Your Application Is Past the Initial Review Stage: Reaching Out to Jurisdiction Staff

If your application has already passed the initial review stage, you will need to contact your jurisdiction directly to request any changes. You can find the contact information for the relevant jurisdiction staff at the bottom of the respective GovWell portal page.

To access your jurisdiction’s portal, visit https://app.govwell.com/select-jurisdiction and select the jurisdiction you’re applying with.
